Adab, or manners, is an important part of Malay culture. But the older generation was getting tired of Gen Z’s self-absorbed behaviour. Tenaga Nasional wanted to remind Gen Zs about the importance of this cultural practice. And there’s no better time to do it like during Raya, when everyone will be with family of all ages.

Gen Zs may not love practising good manners. But they love cats. And they loveeeeee memes.

We got Jero, a beloved recurring character in past films, to write, direct, and star in 2024's Raya film, teaching Malaysians about adab along the way.
